Cash-strapped Himachal Pradesh government seeks funds from temples

Shimla: Facing an economic crisis, the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led Himachal Pradesh government has sought funds from temples.

The state government has requested money from temple offerings to support the ‘Mukhyamantri Sukh Shiksha Yojana’ and ‘Sukhashray Yojana’.

A letter has been sent to all temples under the state government and local DCs, urging them to contribute funds from the offerings to these schemes.
