Police are investigating the case and have launched a manhunt to identify the attackers. CCTV footage from the area is being examined for clues.

Harvilas Rajju Majra had contested Haryana Assembly elections from Narayangarh constituency on a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) ticket. Harvilas, apart from being a political figure, also ran a banquet hall named Radhe Farm in his village and was involved in farming.

Haryana BSP chief, Dharampal Tigra, condemned the attack. He said, “This is a heinous act. There is no fear of the law in Haryana anymore. Such incidents have become alarmingly common, and strict action must be taken against the culprits.”
