BrahMos is an incredible missile; we are working to enhance the striking power of its next-generation version: Former CEO Dr Sudhir Mishra

New Delhi: Former CEO of BrahMos Aerospace, eminent scientist and member of the Board of Governors of Graphic Era Deemed University, Dr Sudhir Mishra said that there is no answer to the BrahMos missile. It can be launched from anywhere. Now work is being done to increase the striking power of its new generation missile. At the same time, Graphic Era Chairman Dr Kamal Ghanshala said that today’s youth have now started seeing their future in drone and missile technology.

Speaking as the chief guest at the Graphic Era Career Counselling function, Dr Sudhir Mishra said, “BrahMos is a big step in India’s empowerment. BrahMos has proved every time that it has no answer, it has its own missile system. Its speciality is that it can be operated from anywhere in the water, land and sky. He said that we have done more than 130 tests on it, it has been successful in every test.”

Dr Mishra also said that the new generation BrahMos missile will be more effective. Work is also being done to reduce the weight of the missile and increase its striking power. He said that BrahMos is the world’s first and so far the only missile that flies the fastest. Its speed is 900 meters per second. Its striking power is from 30 kilometres to 300 kilometres, and the aim of BrahMos is very accurate.

The former CEO and MD of BrahMos said that it is a joint venture between India and Russia. We have also exported it. Many countries, including the Philippines, Vietnam, Middle East Asia and Africa, have also shown interest in it. There are immense possibilities for Brahmos in the international market.

On the conflict with Pakistan, Dr Sudhir Mishra said, “Operation Sindoor was not a small battle, this operation forced our enemy to kneel down. Operation Sindoor showed what India’s strength is. It has shown its strength not only to Pakistan but to the whole world.”

Regarding the ceasefire, Dr Sudhir Mishra said, “Pakistan’s DGMO called India’s DGMO and requested for a ceasefire. Ceasefire had become Pakistan’s need, not India’s. India accepted it about 3 hours after Pakistan contacted to stop the ceasefire. He said that after seeing India’s action, Pakistan understood that if we do not stop now, India will finish us off.”
