Worrying pattern of hoax bomb threats

The BSE incident forms part of a broader wave of bomb threats across India. On Monday (July 14), the Golden Temple in Amritsar received a similar email warning, prompting police action. On the same day, bomb threats targeted at least three Delhi schools in Prashant Vihar, Dwarka Sector 16, and Chanakyapuri triggered evacuations and investigations by Delhi Police.

Public safety remains paramount: Authorities

Although the threats proved to be hoaxes, the authorities said that they treat the threats seriously to ensure public safety. Mumbai Police authorities further emphasised that such incidents will not be tolerated, and any individual involved in sending false threats faces potential action.
