New Delhi: In a shocking incident, Srinjoy Dasgupta (27), the son of BJP leader Dilip Ghosh’s wife Rinku Majumdar, was found dead at his residence in Kolkata’s Newtown on Tuesday morning. His body was recovered from a room inside his residence, the police said.
Sharing further details, the police said that Srinjoy was first taken to a hospital in Newtown. From there, he was taken to Bidhannagar subdistrict hospital, where he was declared brought dead. There is no information yet on the cause of his death. The body has been sent to Ajikar Hospital for autopsy.

According to TV9 Bangla, his body was recovered from the room of his residence, where he used to live. Speaking to the website, local sources claimed that a party was going on yesterday. However, the reports of his death soon after led to an increase in mystery surrounding the incident. There are a lot of speculations about whether Srinjoy died by suicide or something else. Shocked by her son’s death, Rinku Majumdar did not want to give any reaction in front of the media.
Srinjoy used to work in the IT taluka of Salt Lake. A few days ago, Rinku Majumdar married Ghosh at a simple ceremony in Kolkata. Srinjoy was found missing at that wedding. When asked by the media about his absence, Srinjoy said he was out on vacation. However, expressing happiness at his mother’s marriage, he had wished his mother well.
