‘BJP brought students to streets’: Mayawati, Akhilesh on UPPSC candidates’ protests

Prayagraj: Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav and  Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Tuesday slammed the Government a day after UPPSC candidates clashed with the police over the latter’s decision to conduct Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer (RO-ARO) examination and the Provincial Civil Service (PCS) preliminary examination on different dates and more than one  shift. They were demanding that the shifts be conducted on a single day and in single shift.

Taking to X on Tuesday, Yadav wrote, “BJP people do politics to keep the public entangled in the struggle for livelihood, so that BJP people can continue to do corruption under the guise of communal politics. For years, either vacancies are not released or the examination process is not completed. BJP has taken the students away from their study desks and brought them to the streets.”

“These angry candidates and their disappointed families are now becoming the biggest challenge for BJP. The employed and educated middle class will no longer be emotionally swayed by the BJP. Now even the parents who have been victims of the false propaganda of the BJP on WhatsApp groups have understood how the BJP has exploited them emotionally to gain and retain power.,” the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister added.
