In the complaint filed with the police, Amal Jain, director of Brahmavart Snowden Estate Private Limited and Brahmavart Hotels in Kotwali, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, stated that the company’s another director, Manoj Singh, went to Delhi for a meeting in March 2019. There, he met Om Prakash Raghuvanshi, a resident of Inder Road, Dalanwala. Om Prakash Raghuvanshi claimed to have 110 acres of land in the Hathipaon area of Mussoorie, which he had agreed upon with the co-owners in 2017.

The accused took the company’s director to show the land

In April 2019, Omprakash Raghuvanshi, along with his associates Sanjay Garola, Alok Singh, and others, took the company director to view the land and struck a deal. During this process, Anita Rani, Ankit Mohan Agarwal, Shrey Mohan, and Kabir Mohan Agarwal were presented as the owners of the land, with records to support their claims. Following this, they brought director Manoj Singh to their office in Dalanwala, where the land deal was finalized. The land deal was agreed upon for Rs 7 crore, with the accused taking Rs 1 crore as an advance. Subsequently, the accused provided fake documents of the land. When asked to register the land, the accused began delaying the process.

The land was already sold to some other person

After investigation, it was found that the ancestors of the accused had already sold the land and the remaining land went to the Tourism Department. After this, when the money was asked back from the accused, they returned only Rs 20 lakh and threatened if asked for the money. In this case, Dalanwala Kotwali Police has registered a case against Om Prakash Raghuvanshi, Sanjay Gairola, Anita Rani, Ankit Mohan, Shrey Mohan, Alok Singh, Kabir Mohan and Nitish Mohan.
