Arvind Kejriwal meets CEC, demands raids on Pravesh Verma for poll code violation

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and other party leaders including Delhi CM Atish and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann on Thursday met with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar and demanded that action should be taken against BJP leader Pravesh Verma for violating poll code.

Arvind Kejriwal has demanded that raids be conducted against Pravesh Verma for allegedly distributing Rs 1100 cash to women in the national capital. Kejriwal has also handed over a letter to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) demanding action against Pravesh Verma, who is also the son of late Delhi Chief Minister Saheb Singh Verma.

The AAP leader also informed election officials that Verma making false promises to provide jobs to the people in lieu of votes. The party has also demanded that District Election Officer (DEO) be suspended immediately and he should be transferred.
