New Delhi: As the security agencies have tightened their grip on the people sharing India’s inside details with Pakistan, another person has been arrested from the Nuh area of Haryana over espionage.
The arrested person has been identified as Tarif by the police. It is alleged that Tarif provided confidential information related to Indian military activities to the Pakistan High Commission. This arrest comes just two days after Armaan was arrested in the same area over spying.
The investigation revealed that some data had been deleted from his mobile phone, which had been in contact with Pakistani WhatsApp numbers. The phone contained chats, photos, videos, and images of military activities that were sent to a Pakistani number. He was in constant contact with Pakistani numbers using two different SIM cards.
During interrogation, it was revealed that he used to send India’s military activities and secret information to Asif Baloch, an employee at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi.
In return, Asif Baloch used to give him money from time to time. After Baloch was transferred from the Delhi Embassy, Tarif met another employee named Jafar in Delhi. Just as he had shared confidential military information with Asif Baloch, he also passed on sensitive military intelligence to Jafar.
Nuh Police have registered a case under the Indian Penal Code, the Official Secrets Act of 1923, and sections related to sedition against the accused Mohammad Tarif (a resident of Kangarka, under Sadar Taoru Police Station), and Pakistani nationals Asif Baloch and Jafar, who were stationed at the Pakistan High Commission.
