Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Rain LIVE: Centre dispatches NDRF teams as states struggle with floods

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been battered by incessant rains for the past few days, leaving several parts flooded and 27 people dead till now. Road and rail traffic has been severely disrupted due to the floods with Prime Minister Narendra Modi assuring the chief ministers of all possible help from the Centre.

Thousands of people were evacuated by national and state disaster response forces from flooded areas to relief camps and hundreds of trains have been cancelled so far. Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh and Khammam in Telangana are the worst affected by the weather fury.

Twenty-six National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams are being deployed for flood relief and rescue operations in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Stay tuned with for the latest updates on Andhra Pradesh and Telangana floods.
