Air India plane lone survivor comes out of building near crash site in fresh video

New Delhi: While Vishwash Kumar Ramesh’s extraordinary tale of survival has left everyone flabbergasted, a fresh video of him walking away from the devastating Air India plane crash site has surfaced. Ramesh, a British-Indian, is the only passenger who miraculously survived the horrific plane crash tragedy.

In the clip, the 40-year-old can be seen walking away from the crash site as thick plume of smoke billows in the background.

The Ahmedabad-London flight crashed into a campus of a medical college in Meghaninagar area on June 12, shortly after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, killing 241 out of the 241 people onboard. Kumar’s seat was 11A, right next to the emergency door, which apparently came off when the plane struck the college hostel and mess.

Ramesh earlier said that he still can’t believe that he came out the plane alive and survived the tragic incident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier met him at the Ahmedabad hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

“Everything happened before my eyes. I still can’t believe how I came out the plane alive. For a while, I thought I was also going to die. When I opened my eyes, I realised that I was alive. I opened my seat belt and jumped out of the flight. The airhostess and aunty uncle all died before my eyes,” he told Doordarshan.

“A minute after the take-off, it felt like the plane had got stuck. Then green and white lights started blinking. They (the pilots) tried to rise the plane but it went full speed and crashed into the building,” he added.
