Jaipur bomb threat: Police have heightened security at the Marriott and The Lalit hotels in Jaipur and searches are being carried out after receiving a bomb threat.

The threat was received by Jaipur police control room about a bomb at the Lalit and Marriot hotels in the city.

Jaipur: The Marriott and The Lalit hotels in Jaipur received a bomb threat on Friday evening, hours after a similar warning was sent to the airport in the Rajasthan capital, leading to a security alert.

The Jaipur police control room received the threat of blowing up the high-end Jaipur Marriott and the Lalit Hotel following security was stepped up at these establishments with police personnel keeping a strict vigil in and around the premises.

The hotels are being thoroughly searched and the bomb disposal squad has also been rushed to the hotels.

Earlier in the day, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) received a bomb threat to the Jaipur airport through an email at around 2.15 pm, police said.

The mail that was also tagged to all other airports in the country read, “Dekh lenge… Hum majboot desh se takra lenge (Will see… We will tackle with a strong nation head-on)”.

Airport SHO Basera said the mail did not contain any direct threat of bombing a plane or the airport. However, as a precaution, security has been heightened at the airport, with close monitoring of suspicious individuals.
