New Delhi: Ahead of the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, PM Modi has announced a new benchmark for those aspirants who want to contest on a BJP ticket. Addressing the BJP workers in Bihar, PM Modi remarked that the party ticket aspirants must have at least 50,000 followers on social media platforms.
The PM has also set out a roadmap for the party’s campaign strategy while speaking at the BJP state headquarters. He also emphasised on strengthening the party at the grassroots. “We will win elections only when our booths are strong. Social media is the new battleground, and those seeking tickets must show active presence and influence online,” he said.

He also urged party workers to refrain from promoting family members for electoral gains. “Politics should be based on merit and hard work, not inheritance. If a worker toils day and night, he should be rewarded, not bypassed for someone’s son,” Modi said.
The PM also advised patience and loyalty, cautioning against frequent party hopping especially during the election season. “Such behaviour reduces your value. The BJP respects dedication and consistency,” he said.
