Yogesh was arrested in a joint operation by the Delhi Special Cell and Mathura Police. The video, which went viral, shows Yogesh speaking to local media while in police custody at the Refinery police station. He alleges that his encounter was fabricated

Yogesh was initially arrested in connection with the murder of a 35-year-old gym owner, Nadir Shah, who was shot dead in broad daylight in South Delhi on September 12.

“In a joint operation between police and Delhi Special Cell team, a sharpshooter named Yogesh, who is said to have linkages with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has been injured in an encounter. He has been wanted in a murder case in Delhi,” Pandey said.

Adding to the already tense situation, Bollywood actor Salman Khan has received fresh death threats, demanding a Rs 5 crore extortion payment to settle the dispute with LawrenceBIshnoi gand. The sender of the threatening message, claiming to be close to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, warned of dire consequences if the money was not paid.

Following Siddique’s murder on October 12, Mumbai police have intensified their search for the suspects involved. The police have issued a lookout circular for Shubham Lonkar and two other suspects, Shiv Kumar Gautam and Zeeshan Akhtar, who are believed to be fleeing to Nepal.
