He added that India is now not only the fastest-growing major economy but also a prominent global voice on critical issues such as climate action and digital innovation. These accomplishments, he said, have been made possible through “the blessings and collective participation of 140 crore Indians”.

The Prime Minister also shared a link outlining the government’s major reforms and social welfare schemes.

Govt’s commitment to poor and underprivileged

PM Modi also put emphasis on his government’s commitment to the poor and underprivileged. In another post, he wrote: “Over the last 11 years, every government scheme has been centred on ensuring the welfare of the poor and the public at large. Whether it is Ujjwala, PM Awas, Ayushman Bharat, Jan Aushadhi or PM Kisan – these schemes have given new wings to the hopes of our citizens.”

Official figures show that over 81 crore people are receiving free food grains under the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, while 15 crore households now have access to clean tap water. Additionally, around 4 crore homes have been constructed for the economically weaker sections.

In the economic sphere, over 52 crore collateral-free loans have been disbursed to small entrepreneurs under the Mudra Yojana, and more than 68 lakh street vendors have benefitted from the PM SVANidhi scheme. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the government transferred financial aid directly to more than 20 crore women.
