The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the outcomes of the JEE-Mains engineering entrance exam’s second session. An unprecedented number of 56 candidates achieved 100 percent marks, including two female participants. However, due to concerns over potential irregularities, the scores of 39 examinees are currently withheld. Participants who have passed can verify their scores on the JEE Mains’ official portal at jeemain.nta.ac.in. The JEE Mains 2024 witnessed a participation of 9.24 lakh aspirants, a slight increase from the 8.2 lakh contenders in 2023.

For the general category, the JEE (Advanced) cutoff has been set at 93.23 this year, marking a gradual increase from 90.77 in 2023, 88.4 in 2022, 87.9 in 2021, 90.3 in 2020, and 89.7 in 2019. The NTA’s recent announcement indicates that the session-2 results have surpassed the records of the past five years.

Telangana leads with 15 top scorers, the highest number of candidates scoring 100 percent marks, followed by Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan. In comparison to 11 top scorers from Telangana in 2023, this year has seen an increase to 15. Each of these states boasts three candidates with perfect scores. Additionally, Delhi and Haryana have two top scorers each, while Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have one each. In the January 2024 session, 23 candidates achieved the coveted 100 percent mark.
