New Delhi: This success story is not just inspiring — it has all the elements of determination, perseverance, resilience, and triumph.

A boy from Jamshedpur, who ran a small wayside mobile accessory stall with his brother at Sakchi market to support his family, studied for 14 hours a day and went on to clear NEET-UG 2025, a Times of India report said.

Rohit’s hard work paid off as he bagged 549 marks and AIR-12484 on his second attempt. In 2024, in his maiden attempt, he had scored 485 marks.

Rohit’s journey to success was not a cakewalk. He put in his heart and soul in his studies to become a doctor. Rohit said that he was “part of Yakeen 2.0 batch at Alakh sir’s PhysicsWallah”. Along with explaining lessons, he instilled courage in us to dream big, the boy added.

Rohit’s elder brother was his mentor. Rohit pointed out that he motivated him to dream big and work hard to achieve it.

The boy comes from an extremely humble background. Rohit’s father sells vegetables, and his mother is a homemaker. Due to Covid pandemic, Rohit was forced to work at a medical store to make ends meet after he passed Class 10. This triggered his interest in medicine.

He chose PCB for his intermediate studies. Rohit worked at the store during the day and studied late into the night. He went on to top his board exams. His elder brother told him about NEET. YouTube came to his aid during his self-study in his maiden attempt. Riding on his confidence, he quit his job and put all his focus on cracking the NEET.
