‘I just need your trust and love…’: Tej Pratap Yadav writes emotional post after expulsion from RJD and Yadav family

In an emotional social media post, Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, has shared a deeply emotional message addressed to his parents, Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi. This emotional post comes immediately after his expulsion from the RJD.

In a note posted on X (formerly Twitter), Tej Pratap painted a picture of his parents as his “whole world,” asserting that their “order given by you are greater than God.” “My dear mom and dad. My whole world is just you two. You and any order given by you are greater than God. If you are there, then I have everything. I just need your trust and love and nothing else,” Tej Pratap Yadav said in a post on X.

— Tej Pratap Yadav (@TejYadav14) May 31, 2025

While carefully avoiding direct names, his words seemed to target certain unnamed individuals within the party, whom he accused of betrayal and actively undermining the unity of the Yadav family. “Papa, if you were not there then this party would not have been there and neither would greedy people like Jaichand who do politics with me. Just mummy papa, may you both always be healthy and happy,” he added.

This public outpouring of emotion follows Lalu Prasad Yadav’s decisive action on May 25, when he announced Tej Pratap’s expulsion from both the RJD and the family for six years. The party leadership cited “irresponsible behaviour” and conduct deemed “unbecoming of the party’s values and traditions” as the reasons for the disciplinary measure. “The activities, public conduct and irresponsible behaviour of the eldest son are not in accordance with our family values and traditions… I remove him from the party and the family. From now on, he will not have any role of any kind in the party or the family. He is expelled from the party for six years,” Lalu had stated in a post on X.

The disciplinary action was reportedly triggered by a controversial Facebook post that allegedly disclosed a 12-year romantic relationship with Anushka Yadav. However, Tej Pratap has vehemently denied authoring the post, claiming his Facebook account was hacked and the images were doctored with malicious intent to tarnish his and his family’s reputation.
