
New Delhi: In a shocking incident in Delhi, police officials have arrested five individuals for allegedly killing a 55-year-old man and injuring his wife in Swaroop Nagar . The intended target was reportedly their son Sandeep, who was not present at the house when the attack occurred. The incident took place on May 28.
According to police, Dinesh alias Golu had lived with Sandeep, the son of the deceased Ashok Kumar, for several years. Recently, Sandeep moved out and began living with his parents in their Swaroop Nagar home. Dinesh allegedly held a grudge against Sandeep due to financial disagreements and planned the attack as an act of revenge.
About the attack
On May 28, the prime accused Golu alias Dinesh, arrived at Sandeep’s house in Swaroop Nagar. After knowing that Sandeep was not at home, Dinesh allegedly open fired his father, Ashok Kumar and killed him. Sandeep mother also suffered significant injuries during the attack, and is currently in a severe condition in a nearby hospital.
Police Investigation
The Swaroop Nagar Police station initiated a thorough investigation for apprehending the offenders. The culprits namely Dinesh alias Golu, a 30-year-old resident of DCM Colony from Nathupura; Farid, aged 20,Rajkumar, 22, are both Narela residents; Rihan, 19, from the same locality. Aneez(22), is the one who have providing relevant information about Sandeep’s whereabouts and proving through details about his daily life. An FIR has been registered at Swaroop Nagar police station, invoking sections 103(1), 109(1), 61(2)(a), 2(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with sections 25, 27, 54, and 59 of the Arms Act.
The police officials have been jotting down relevant details about the case and has initiated a search for recovering the weapons and vehicles that assisted them to commit the crime.
