The United Arab Emirates and Japan have openly backed India’s global campaign against terrorism.

As the first of seven multi-party delegations, led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde and JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha, reached the UAE and Japan, respectively, on Thursday, the countries have extended their support to India.

India gains global backing in anti-terror mission

The delegations are visiting key countries as part of India’s diplomatic outreach following Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. Upon arrival, the representatives briefed local officials, presenting evidence of Pakistan’s alleged role in supporting terrorism.

During the meetings, both delegations gave detailed briefings to foreign counterparts on India’s position, outlining evidence that suggests Pakistan has continued to shelter and fund terror operations.

UAE welcomes India’s efforts

In the United Arab Emirates, Shrikant Shinde’s delegation held talks with the officials, including a second meeting with members of the UAE Parliament. Sources said that Emirati officials appreciated India’s outreach and expressed their support.

During the meeting, UAE officials averred that “Islam does not teach the killing of innocent civilians,” making it clear that the country does not condone acts of terrorism.

Earlier, the Indian delegation met Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, in Abu Dhabi. The visiting group included a broad mix of Members of Parliament: Bansuri Swaraj and Atul Garg from the BJP, senior advocate and Rajya Sabha MP Manan Kumar Mishra, ET Mohammed Basheer from the Indian Union Muslim League, Sasmit Patra from the Biju Janata Dal, BJP leader SS Ahluwalia, and former diplomat Sujan Chinoy.

Japan vows to support India

Meanwhile, JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha led the delegation to Japan, where officials also voiced support for India’s stance against terrorism.

Japan’s Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya affirmed this during discussions with the Indian team, stating clearly, “In this fight against terrorism, Japan stands with India.”

EAM outlines continued action

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, meanwhile, has reinforced India’s stance during a separate statement on Thursday. He said Operation Sindoor would continue, and that India would not hesitate to retaliate if another terror attack like the one in Pahalgam were to occur. He confirmed that India would act against any terrorist threats coming from across the border.

Prime Minister’s strong warning to Pakistan

During his first rally since Operation Sindoor, PM Modi issued a direct warning to Pakistan. He slammed Pakistan’s long-standing use of terrorism as a tactic against India and asserted that New Delhi would expose Islamabad’s actions to the international community.

“Pakistan can never win in a direct fight with India. Hence, it uses terrorism as a weapon against India. This went on for decades after independence. Pakistan spread terrorism, killed innocent people, and created an environment of terror,” PM Modi said during a rally in Rajasthan.

He added that the ongoing global outreach, involving seven separate delegations, would play a key role in exposing Pakistan’s true face.

“This drama by Pakistan will no longer work,” the Prime Minister declared, underlining India’s resolve to act firmly.
