On early Wednesday, the Indian armed forces launched coordinated missile, air and drone strikes on multiple locations in nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK). The targeted facilities included Sialkot, Shakargarh, Muridke, and Bahawalpur in Punjab, Koti, and Muzaffarabad.
The armed forces in Pakistan ‘have duly been authorised’ to undertake corresponding actions’ as the NSC said it was ‘deliberate targeting of civilians’ by Indian military, and termed it a heinous and shameful crime.

“In consonance with Article-51 of the UN Charter, Pakistan reserves the right to respond, in self-defence, at a time, place, and manner of its choosing to avenge the loss of innocent Pakistani lives and blatant violation of its sovereignty. The Armed Forces of Pakistan have duly been authorized to undertake corresponding actions in this regard,” the statement from a release read.
Pakistan said that their armed forces defended the attacks by Indian forces and took down five of their aircrafts. However, India have refuted the claims and said that the images circulated on social media were fake and the incident was from 2021.
