TV9 Network’s ‘Highway Heroes 2.0’ campaign wins hearts of truck drivers in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The ‘Highway Heroes’ campaign season 2 jointly organised by Shriram Finance and TV9 Network concluded successfully in Bengaluru. The two-day event was held on May 2 and 3 at Devaraj Urs Truck Terminal, Industrial Suburb – Second Stage, Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru. The aim of this campaign is to empower truck drivers mentally, physically and financially. Hundreds of truck drivers participated in the program and gained important information through various sessions.

Key features of the program

Mental Wellness session: Yoga and meditation practices for stress management and mental well-being taught by experts from ‘The Yoga Institute’.

Physical Health Session: TB awareness and prevention measures were explained by experts from ‘Piramal Health’.

Financial Literacy Session: Experts from National Stock Exchange (NSE) taught ways of budgeting, saving and protection from cyber fraud.

Skill India Training: Drivers after training are awarded a “12th Plus Value” certificate recognized by Government of India, which helps in renewal of driving license and is valid in over 90 countries.

Gowri DR, DCP Traffic, North Bengaluru, attended the event and appreciated this initiative for truck drivers. She thanked Shriram Finance and TV9 Network for this campaign and called it a much needed one for truck drivers. To make this campaign more special, Shriram Finance Limited’s Joint MD, Sudharshan Holla was also present. He said that this campaign is very important for the truck drivers and also discussed the steps being taken by Shriram Finance Limited to support the truck drivers.

Apart from this, S Balamurugan, CSR Head, Shriram Finance Limited and Prasanna Raghav, Senior VP Sales, TV9 also shared the stage to support the Highway Heroes Campaign. During this, MD CN Shivaprakash of Devraj Truck Terminal was also present. He also called this campaign important for truck drivers and praised TV9 Network and Shriram Finance Limited.

After this program in Bengaluru, 2 more sessions are planned. One will be held in Chennai on May 6-7, 2025 and the other in Vijayawada on May 10-11, 2025. Truck drivers are requested to participate in this campaign and strengthen their health, mental condition and financial status.
