New Delhi: Congress party is once again at the receiving end from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over remarks from the Chairman of Indian Overseas Congress Sam Pitroda.

The senior Congress leader, in interview with the IANS claimed that the threat from China was often blown out of proportion, while the US has a tendency to define an enemy.

“I don’t understand the threat from China. I think this issue is often blown out of proportion because the US has a tendency to define an enemy. I believe the time has come for all nations to collaborate, not confront,” Pitroda told news agency IANS.

Pitroda reportedly made these remarks in response to a question whether US President Donald Trump and PM Narendra Modi will be able to control the threat from China.

What BJP said on Sam Pitroda’s remarks?

Ptiroda’s remark have not gone well with the ruling BJP. The party leader Pradeep Bhandari alleged that the Congress party has a soft corner for China since Jawaharlal Nehru’s time when he ‘gifted’ Aksai Chin to China.

“Rahul Gandhi is an agent who does not speak in the interest of India but in the interest of China and George Soros… In his speech in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi spoke more about China than India… Earlier also Jawaharlal Nehru had gifted Aksai Chin to China. This shows that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party have a soft corner for China… Why does Rahul Gandhi’s ‘right hand’ Sam Pitroda always praise China?,” ANI quoted Bhandari.
