Hospital claims baby’s body was handed over to family

The hospital claims that the baby’s body was handed over to the family after death. “The child’s aunt received the body, and we have documentation with her thumb impression,” an NDTV report quoted Dr Singh as saying. Lalitpur Medical College Principal D Nath has ordered an immediate inquiry, forming a committee of four senior doctors to investigate the matter. The panel includes paediatrician Dr D V Singh, surgeon Dr Vishal Jain, gynaecologist Dr Pranshi Asati, and paediatric specialist Dr Alok Tiwari. They have been directed to submit their report within 24 hours.
