New Delhi: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials on Wednesday arrested six officials of the Delhi Transport Department in connection with alleged corruption and bribery charges. This is the first major action in the capital following the defeat of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi assembly elections.

The agency had been receiving complaints about corruption within the transport department, especially regarding bribery incidents in areas ranging from Delhi to the Gurugram border. After investigating the complaints, CBI found evidence of corruption, leading to the arrests of the officials involved.
