Officials summoned to Secretariat as BJP surges towards majority in Delhi

New Delhi: As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) inches closer to majority in the national capital, top officials of the Delhi government have been asked to reach the Delhi Secretariat office urgently. Reports suggest that the government wants to ensure protection of official documents and data from getting removed or destroyed before the change of government in Delhi.

As the counting progressed in Delhi, BJP was already ahead in more than 40 seats as per the trends based on the counting of votes for 70 seats. To form a government in the capital, a party needs to win 36 constituencies.
