Rishikesh: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who arrived in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, on a three-day tour, participated in the religious event organized in the village Talla Banas in Yamkeshwar today.
He took part in the idol consecration of Vanvasi Shri Ram Temple and Maa Garhvasini Devi Temple and interacted with the local people. During this time, the Chief Minister, while wishing the devotees, said that the preservation of religious and cultural heritage is essential for the spiritual development of society.
He was warmly welcomed by the villagers and devotees
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath first reached Dehradun, from where he traveled to Talla Banas village of Yamkeshwar via helicopter. Here, he was warmly welcomed by the villagers and devotees. Yogi Adityanath duly worshipped at the Maa Garhvasini temple and participated in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the temple. While addressing the devotees, he said that the spiritual traditions of India give us the message of restraint, service, and dedication. He emphasized that the preservation and revival of religious places is not only a matter of faith but also a responsibility towards our culture and heritage.

He added that religious places are not only places of worship but also living proof of our cultural heritage. Collective efforts should be made to preserve these heritages. He praised the glory of Uttarakhand’s Devbhoomi and said that this land has been a place of worship for saints, ascetics, and sages. The spiritual power here guides the whole of India.
Honoured with a huge Trident
Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat and Uttarakhand government cabinet minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat were also present at this event. Uttarakhand’s famous Jagar singer Pritam Bharatwan and folk singer Madhuri Badthwal mesmerized the devotees with their performances during the program. The event’s organizer, Alam Singh Negi, and his wife, Darshini Devi, honored Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by presenting him with a huge trident. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is Devbhoomi, and the spiritual and historical importance of the temples here is inspirational for the whole of India.
Rudraksha plantation with villagers
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also planted Rudraksha trees along with the villagers of Talla Banas. He said that the Rudraksha tree not only has religious significance but also helps in maintaining environmental balance. He requested the local people to plant more trees and play their role in preserving nature. Many people were honored by Yogi Adityanath on this occasion.
Nine-day Prana Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony
It is worth mentioning that a nine-day Prana Pratishtha of Maa Garhvasini Devi and Lord Shri Ram’s family is being organized in Hanuman Temple in Talla Banas village of Yamkeshwar block, which started from January 30 and will continue till February 7.
