Prayagraj: Acharya Mahamandaleshwar of Juna Akhara, Swami Avdheshanand Giri, presided over the ‘Jan Jatiya Yuva Kumbh’ event at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Thursday. The event showcased a series of cultural and traditional performances highlighting the essence of Sanatan Dharma.
Several guests attending the event felicitated the Acharya, praising his contributions and the religious wisdom he has imparted to devotees during Maha Kumbh 2025.
Earlier, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar paid floral tribute to the statue of Acharya Shankar at the Ekatma Dham camp in Prayagraj Maha Kumbh and visited the Advaita Lok Kala Vithika. His presence, positive energy, and blessings were described as an infinite source of inspiration for all.
An organisation affiliated with the RSS announced that a grand ‘Shobha Yatra’ (procession) of tribal saints and devotees will be held on 7 February. Additionally, the Seva Prakalp Sansthan stated that Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram has organised a large gathering of tribal community devotees at Maha Kumbh from 6 to 10 February.
Meanwhile, a strong message of unity between Sanatan Dharma and Buddhism was conveyed from the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh on Wednesday. Monks, lamas, Buddhist bhikshus, and Sanatan religious leaders from several countries came together in a historic display of solidarity.
During the gathering, three major resolutions were passe — an appeal to end the persecution of minorities in Bangladesh and Pakistan. A call for support for Tibet’s autonomy and a renewed commitment to strengthening Sanatan-Buddhist unity.
The Maha Kumbh 2025 continues to be a confluence of spiritual, cultural, and social significance, drawing devotees and leaders from around the world.
