Voter turnout of over 57.7%

A voter turnout of 57.7% was recorded till 5 pm in Delhi assembly polls. Northeast Delhi saw the highest turnout at 63.83%, while New Delhi district recorded the lowest at 54.37%. The turnout in constituencies like Mustafabad reached 66.68%, while Karol Bagh had the lowest at 47.40%.

Polling took place at 13,766 stations across Delhi’s 70 constituencies, where 699 candidates are contesting. In comparison to the 62.59% turnout in the 2020 elections, the 2025 turnout is slightly lower. Early voters included President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Delhi CM Atishi and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.

Final results to be declared on February 8

With a total of 699 candidates contesting across 70 seats, the election saw a close fight in multiple constituencies. While AAP has campaigned aggressively to retain power, BJP has pushed hard to make a comeback, and Congress hopes to regain lost ground.

AAP is contesting all 70 seats, while BJP has fielded candidates in 68 constituencies, leaving 2 seats for its allies (LJP in Deoli and JDU in Burari). Congress has also contested all 70 seats.

Delhi has a total of 1.56 crore voters, including 83.76 lakh men, 72.36 lakh women, and 1,267 third-gender voters. The final results will be declared on February 8, confirming whether AAP retains Delhi or if BJP manages to stage an upset.
