Dikshit’s counsel told this to additional chief judicial magistrate Paras Dalal, who said that parties in the matter were at liberty to explore the possibility of an out-of-court settlement.

“Counsel for proposed accused (AAP leaders) submits that some pages of the complaint supplied to them are deficit. Counsel for the complainant is directed to supply the copy of complaint with annexures to the opposite side. Both parties are at liberty to explore the possibility of settlement outside the court before the next date of hearing,” the court said, news agency PTI reported.

The court has posted the matter for February 6 on a request made by the AAP leaders seeking time to argue on cognisance of Dikshit’s criminal complaint.

Court issued notice to AAP leaders on Dikshit’s complaint on January 16

The court had on January 16 issued notice to AAP leaders on Dikshit’s criminal complaint alleging that the AAP leaders “deliberately caused harm” to his goodwill.

Dikshit, who is contesting the upcoming Delhi assembly elections from the New Delhi assembly constitution against former Delhi chief minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, has accused Atishi and Singh of making defamatory allegations against him without any material evidence.

Allegations levelled by AAP leaders baseless: Dikshit

Dikshit, the former Congress MP, has claimed that AAP leaders Atishi and Singh made defamatory allegations against him and his party at a press conference by allegedly saying that he took crores of rupees from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and colluded with the BJP to defeat the AAP. He has said that the allegations levelled against him by the AAP leaders were baseless and without substantiating the allegations with any material evidence.
