‘Anyone can see CM’s residence’: Arvind Kejriwal on Sheesh Mahal row | Exclusive

New Delhi: In an exclusive interview with TV9 BharatVarsh, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated that the door remains open for former party members, including Kumar Vishwas, Prashant Bhushan, Kiran Bedi, and Yogendra Yadav.

When asked about his relationship with these individuals, Kejriwal simply responded, “All are my friends. The doors are open for everyone.”

Kejriwal also confirmed his wife, Sunita Kejriwal, would not be entering politics, despite being recently named an AAP star campaigner for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

During a rapid-fire round with TV9 Bharatvarsh, senior AAP leaders addressed several political questions. Regarding the party’s past alliance with Congress, Atishi, Manish Sisodia, and Raghav Chadha all affirmed that it was not a mistake. However, Saurabh Bhardwaj expressed a dissenting view, while Kejriwal firmly reiterated the party’s stance that the alliance was not an error.

On the question of awarding the Bharat Ratna to the late Mulayam Singh Yadav, all AAP leaders expressed unanimous support, acknowledging his contributions to Indian politics. They also refuted claims that Anna Hazare, a prominent social activist, is a “BJP agent,” emphasising his independence and public service.

Meanwhile, the Congress party has intensified its criticism of Kejriwal and the AAP, highlighting the strained relationship between the former allies. Despite their previous collaboration in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the parties are now competing independently in the Delhi Assembly elections.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi publicly criticized both Kejriwal and PM Modi, while Ajay Maken pointed to unfulfilled promises and shortcomings in the AAP government’s handling of education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
