Prayagraj: Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani reached Prayagraj to attend Maha Kumbh Mela on Tuesday. Speaking to reporters, the businessman hailed Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the state administration for organising the mega event.

“Today I have come to the land of Prayagraj, it was an amazing experience. I could not think about what I experienced, it cannot be described in words. I thank PM Modi, and CM Yogi for such great arrangements here. I would also like to thank the administration, police, sanitation staff,” news agency ANI quoted him as saying.

‘Maha Kumbh Mela like case study for business institutes’

He added, “It is like a case study for business institutes and corporate houses. Nothing is greater than taking the blessings of Ma Ganga. There are big opportunities in UP. The government is working towards development. There would be a contribution of Adani group, we are committed to invest in UP as much as possible.”

Importantly, the Adani Group had earlier joined hands with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) to serve meals to devotees at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. The collaboration is part of the Mahaprasad Seva initiative in the Mela. Speaking to Prayagraj he said as per news agency ANI, “I am very, very excited for the Mahakumbh.”

Earlier on January 9, Adani Group and ISKCON had announced their collaboration to provide free meals to devotees attending the Mela. Through this initiative, close 50 lakh devotees will be offered food. The meals will be prepared in two kitchens, located inside and outside the Mela area.

Gautam Adani announced the marriage of his son

Adani group chairman Gautam Adani, whose son Jeet is all set to get married next month said that his son will get married at a simple and full traditional ceremony. Jeet will tie the knot with Diva Shah, who is the daughter of diamond tycoon Jaimin Shah.

Several well-known personalities from India and abroad have been invited for the wedding function. Pop sensation Taylor Swift is also expected to perform at the function. Gautam Ambani announced his son’s wedding during a visit in Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh Mela.

“Jeet’s marriage is on February 7. Our activities are like a common people. His marriage will be very simple and with full traditional ways,” he was quoted as saying by news agency ANI. He added, “Uttar Pradesh has immense opportunities, it has a 27 crore population. Adani Group will continue to contribute to the developmental work of Uttar Pradesh govt. We are committed to maximizing our investment in the state.”
