‘Even if someone didn’t vote for you, help them…’: PM Modi to Mahayuti MLAs

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed Maharashtra’s ruling Mahayuti coalition MLAs in Mumbai, delivering a powerful message focused on effective governance and strengthening their collaborative approach. The meeting, attended by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, his deputies Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, and most MLAs from the BJP, Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP, and smaller allies, served as a strategic roadmap for the alliance’s future.

Modi emphasised the crucial role of grassroots connections, urging MLAs to prioritize the development needs of their constituencies and remain accessible to all citizens, regardless of their voting preferences. He stressed building trust by being present in both celebratory and difficult times, urging them to treat every citizen as their own, even those who did not vote for them.  “Even if someone didn’t vote for you, help them after being elected. Treat everyone as your own,” he said.

Drawing inspiration from MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s visit to Gujarat to study development models, Modi encouraged the MLAs to learn from best practices across states and constituencies. He challenged them to create prioritized task lists and diligently work towards achieving those goals.
