‘Situation at LAC sensitive but stable’: Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi

New Delhi: Indian Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Monday said that while the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) continues to remain sensitive, but is stable at the moment. He added that while there is no reduction in number of troops deployed in the region during winters, the stock of the situation will betaken in summers .

Addressing the press conference on the occasion of the Indian Army Day, he said as per ANI “ “It is stable but sensitive. There have been a series of meetings. Even the Prime Minister has met the Chinese head. Coming on to Depsang and Demchok, April 20 onwards, both sides had moved forward and stopped the other side from going to the traditional areas where they were carrying out the patrolling.”
