Court directed all accused to be present again before it on February 25

The judge, after taking note of the presence of all the accused in the case, fixed the next appearance for February 25, and instructed them to be present before the court again on that date.

Court had mandated monthly appearances as part of their bail conditions

This was said to be the first time that all accused in the case were present at the court at the same time, since being granted bail. The court had mandated monthly appearances as part of their bail conditions, and this is one such appearance, sources told news agency PTI.

Darshan arrived at the court with his legal team in the presence of media and onlookers and he proceeded to the court, while Pavithra Gowda, was seen earlier conversing with her counsel. Other accused in the case also came with their legal representatives.

Darshan, Pavithra and five other accused were granted bail by High Court on December 13 last year

Darshan, Pavithra and other five accused – R Nagaraju, Anu Kumar alias Anu, Lakshman M, Jagadeesh alias Jagga and Pradoosh S Rao – were granted bail by the High Court on December 13 last year, while other accused persons were granted bail earlier. The High Court had earlier on October 30 last year granted six-week interim bail to the actor on medical grounds to undergo spine surgery at a hospital of his choice.

The Karnataka government has moved the Supreme Court challenging the order of the Karnataka High Court granting bail to Darshan, Pavithra and others in the murder case.

Bengaluru Police filed a chargesheet in the case on September 4 last year

Renukaswamy allegedly made derogatory remarks against his friend Pavithra on social media, which allegedly enraged Darshan, which allegedly led to his murder.

The Bengaluru Police had on September 4 last year filed a 3,991-page preliminary charge sheet in the murder case in a Bengaluru court.
