State’s most parts have been witnessing light fog

The weather in Uttarakhand is changing every moment. There is light fog in the morning and evening, and frost is also forming. This has increased the cold in plain areas of the state. At the same time, light sunshine during the day is also giving relief. At the same time, people have gotten relief from cold due to sunshine in Dehradun for the last two-three days. At the same time, an increase in temperature has also been recorded.

State gripped with cold wave

The weather in Uttarakhand is currently extremely cold. According to the Meteorological Centre, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in the mountainous regions due to a change in weather this afternoon. On Sunday, as with the previous four days, the sun shone brightly, making the sunshine almost unbearable during the day. However, there was a slight drop in temperature in the higher areas of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, and Rudraprayag after noon due to light clouds. The weather is expected to remain variable in the state for the next two days, with a warning of dense fog in the plains during this period.

Western disturbance on January 6 could lead to drizzle in many parts of the state

Dr. Vikram Singh, Director of the Meteorological Centre, mentioned that a partial effect of a Western disturbance on January 6 could lead to drizzle in many parts of the state and snowfall in high-altitude areas. Following this, the weather is likely to remain dry across Uttarakhand. Cloudy weather is anticipated in the lower regions, with light rain in some areas and snowfall in regions above 3000 meters. This weather change is expected to cause a temperature drop of three to five degrees Celsius.
