BJP to hold a two-day meeting to give final shape to its list of candidates

The observers, who were appointed by the BJP to go to the different areas to collect feedback about potential candidates, have already submitted their reports to the party’s Rajya Chunav Sanchalan Samiti. The party’s senior leaders will soon hold a two-day meeting in Dehradun to consider the names suggested by the observers in their panels. The meeting will be attended by the party’s district presidents, district in-charges, local MLAs, and former MLAs.

On the first day of the meeting, the party leaders will discuss the potential candidates who will be fielded as party nominees in the Kumaon region. The second day will be meant for the local bodies of the Garhwal region.

BJP’s central leadership will decide the names of party candidates for the post of mayors

Sources said the party’s state unit will send the names of potential candidates, who will be fielded as party’s nominees for the post of mayors of Municipal Corporations, to the party’s central leadership.

Congress may release its list on December 28

On the contrary, the Congress is under plan to release the names of its candidates for different local bodies by the end of December 28.
