Jaipur: A rescue operation is underway to save a three-year-old girl who fell into a 150-feet-deep borewell in the Kotputli-Behror district of Rajasthan on Monday. As per the reports, district officials and teams of NDRF and SDRF are at the spot.

Officials say that the girl, Chetna, was playing in his father’s farm in the Sarund village when she accidently fell into the borewell. NDRF and SDRF teams are trying to pull out the girl with the help of a hook attached to a rod.

“The teams of SDRF, NDRF and Administration are engaged in the rescue operation. NDRF team’s rescue equipment has reached the girl and they are trying to pull her out of the borewell,” SDM Brijesh Choudhary told ANI.

The rescue teams have captured the girl’s movements through a camera and an oxygen pipe was lowered into the borewell to supply oxygen.

Yesterday, Industry Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore spoke to the officers and teams involved in the rescue operations instructed them to expedite the rescue.

“We are trying to reach the girl but due to a lot of soil around her we have not been able to reach her yet. We are trying our best,” said SI SDRF, Ravi Kumar while updating about the operations.

In a similar incident two weeks ago, a five-year-old boy had died after falling into a borewell in the Dausa district. The rescue operation lasted over 55 hour.
