4 dead, several injured in fire due to multi-vehicle collision in Jaipur’s Bhankrota

4 dead, several injured in fire due to multi-vehicle collision in Jaipur’s Bhankrota

Jaipur: A massive accident took place near a petrol pump in the Bhankrota area along Ajmer Highway, leading to fire. A collision between a bus and a CNG tanker triggered a powerful explosion in the tanker. Due to this collision, a fire broke out in the area. 

The fire engulfed nearly 10 to 15 vehicles in the vicinity, reducing them to ashes. Several smaller and larger vehicles caught fire and people inside these vehicles suffered severe injuries due to the flames. The situation became chaotic as the blaze spread rapidly.

Relief operation underway

Over 20 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Efforts are underway to the douse the flames. Despite their efforts, the intensity of the blaze is severe.

Traffic on Jaipur-Ajmer Highway was diverted to ensure public safety and allow emergency services to manage the situation by the officials. Senior officials, including DCP West Amit Kumar Budania, are present at the spot to oversee rescue and relief operations.
