Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar stake claim to form govt in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar met the Governor to stake their claim to form the new government in Maharashtra. The leaders submitted a letter of support and expressed their readiness to take charge of the state.

Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra Chief Minister-designate, announced after the meeting, “We have met the governor and handed over the letter of support to form the government. The Governor has invited us for the oath ceremony, which will take place tomorrow at 5.30 pm.”
