The carvings were stumbled upon by villagers and trekkers exploring the dense forest trails near the Mughal Road. Hidden for centuries, these intricate designs had remained untouched and unnoticed until now. Locals are in awe of the carvings, which they believe carry deep historical and spiritual significance.

Historians and archaeologists have been called in to examine the carvings, which are believed to be centuries old. While the carvings have been weathered by time, the intricate details and faint writings remain visible, intriguing experts.

“This is an extraordinary find. It has the potential to teach us about the cultural and religious practices of ancient Kashmir. Immediate preservation is essential to protect these carvings from further erosion,” said one archaeologist.

The site, located about 3 kilometers from Mughal Road, is accessible only on foot, adding to its mysterious allure. Experts believe the carvings could reveal valuable insights into the traditions and beliefs of the region’s past inhabitants.

However, there is a growing call to preserve the site. Exposure to natural elements and human interference could damage the carvings if proper steps are not taken. Historians emphasize the importance of protecting this treasure trove of heritage for future generations.

This discovery reminds of the rich, untold history buried within Kashmir’s valleys.
