New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has made a big claim about Ramayana character Kumbhkaran who was said to be sleeping six months in a year. Patel claimed that Kumbhkaran, brother of demon king Ravan, was a technology expert and claim of him sleeping six months in a year was a lie.
The UP Governor Anandiben Patel said Kumbhkaran did sleep for six months but used to indulge in secret research and develop instruments. She said it was Ravan who spread this lie to hide the fact that Ravana was doing secret research. “However, Kumbhkaran’s knowledge is not with us, but it’s all in the books,” said Anandiben.
UP Guv’s statement comes during convocation
The UP Governor Anandiben Patel reportedly made the said statements during the 9th Convocation of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University. She also curiously asked about the type of aircraft (Viman) Ravan used to kidnap Sita, said a report in Aaj Tak online.
Earlier too, a video of Anandiben Patel went viral when she was seen scolding officials during plantation drive. On July 19, a statewide plantation drive was organised, UP Governor Anandiben Patel went to Sitapur for the programme. Seeing mismanagement during the plantation drive, the Governor slammed officials.
