Story of film

The Sabarmati Report, directed by Dheeraj Sarna, delves into the events surrounding the Godhra train burning and the subsequent riots in Gujarat. The film, which stars Vikrant Massey in the lead role, released on November 15.

Massey portrays a journalist who investigates the incident, aiming to uncover the facts behind the tragedy. The movie has been described as an intense portrayal of the events that shook the nation and continues to be a subject of debate.

Vikrant Massey, in an interview, opened up about the difficulties faced during the making and release of the film. He shared that being part of The Sabarmati Report has brought challenges, including threats. “I have been receiving threats. Without drawing attention to it, it is something which I am dealing with and we, as a team, collectively are dealing with,” Massey said, as reported by PTI. He added that the team’s focus remains on bringing the story to the public, despite the challenges.
