JEE Main 2025 from January 22; What’s new for candidates

JEE Main 2025: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2025) January session exam dates have been announced. JEE Main exam 2025 is scheduled to be held between January 22 to January 31, 2025. The JEE Main registration has been commenced, the candidates can apply for JEE Main on the official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in till November 22.

JEE Main 2025 will be held in 13 languages- English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The JEE Main hall ticket will be issued by January 18, and the candidates can download the admit card on the official portals- nta.ac.in, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main 2025 result will be out by February 12, 2025.

What’s new for JEE Main 2025 aspirants?

The JEE Main 2025 January session will be held in a new paper pattern. The candidates will get no optional questions in Section B of the JEE Main 2025 paper, they have to attempt all 15 numerical value based questions, 5 each from Maths, Physics and Chemistry. The JEE Main 2025 paper will have a total of 75 questions; 20 questions each from Maths, Physics and Chemistry in Section A and a total of 15 questions in Section B. The section A consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and it is optional in nature.

Earlier, the JEE Main paper consists of 90 questions; 30 each from Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Both Section A and B were optional in nature. The JEE Main BE/ BTech paper consists of 300 marks.

Computer based test Morning shift- 9 am to 12 noon

Afternoon shift- 3 pm to 6 pm

BArch (Paper 2A) Maths (Part 1)- 25

Aptitude Test (Part 2)- 50

Drawing Test (Part 3)- 2

CBT mode except Drawing Test (Part 3) in pen and paper mode Morning shift- 9 am to 12 noon

Afternoon shift- 3 pm to 6 pm

BPlanning (Paper 2B) Maths (Part 1)- 25

Aptitude Test (Part 2)- 50

Drawing Test (Part 3)- 25

Computer based test Afternoon shift (3 PM- 6 PM).

Instructions to apply for JEE Main 2025

  • Candidates can apply online only through official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • Only one application can be submitted. Candidates could not fill more than one application form
  • Candidates should ensure that mail address and mobile number provided in the application form are their own or parents/ guardians only and no other persons.
