Bomb threats continue for second day in Lucknow hotels

New Delhi: For the second consecutive day, multiple hotels in Lucknow received bomb threats on Monday, creating a tense atmosphere. Yesterday, threats were reported for half a dozen hotels, with locations spanning across Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar and Hazratganj areas. Taj Hotel in the Gomti Nagar police jurisdiction and several hotels under the Silvat Police Station in Hazratganj were among the targets.

Following these threats, the police dispatched bomb disposal squads to the affected locations, where they thoroughly inspected any suspicious items. The Gomti Nagar police, along with bomb disposal teams, are currently on-site, conducting comprehensive searches at the Taj Hotel and Rensa Hotel to ensure public safety.

The threats were received via email, with the sender warning that the hotels would be bombed. The bomb disposal squad arrived to inspect the premises and carry out a thorough search.
