Lamine Yamal becomes the youngest goalscorer in El Clasico with a thunderous strike

New Delhi: Lamine Yamal made history on Saturday night by becoming the youngest goalscorer in El Clásico history. The Spanish youngster netted his goal in the 77th minute, sealing a dominant 4-0 victory for Barcelona over their fierce rivals Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu.

At just 17 years and 106 days old, Yamal surpassed the previous record held by Alfonso Navarro, who scored at the age of 17 years and 365 days in 1947. The significance of this achievement cannot be overstated, as it highlights Yamal’s exceptional talent and composure under pressure. This impressive feat came just a year after he became the youngest player to participate in a Clásico, making his debut at 16 years and 107 days.

Yamal’s goal was part of a brilliant performance by Barcelona, who controlled the match from the start of the second half. Robert Lewandowski’s quick brace gave Barcelona a comfortable lead before Yamal’s record-breaking strike. After racing down the right flank, he finished confidently at the near post, showing maturity beyond his years.

This season, Yamal has been in sensational form, scoring five goals and providing seven assists across all competitions. His impact on the pitch has been remarkable, and he recently became the second-youngest goalscorer in the revamped UEFA Champions League.

Beyond his accomplishments with Barcelona, Yamal has also made headlines with the Spanish national team. He is the youngest player to debut and score for La Roja, further establishing himself as a rising star in football.
