Hyderabad: Speaking at an event Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu accused that a campaign has been going on for showing the ongoing development work at Hyderabad in negative light. Bhatti said that the government is spending Rs 10,000 crore for the development of Hyderabad along.
Bhatti Vikramarka attended a show which was organised by NAREDCO at Hitex on Saturday. In his address he said, “Hyderabad belongs to all of us. It is a crown of India and is developing as a global city,” as per a report by Newsmeter.
He said, “The government is intended to develop Hyderabad with complete dedication. Our government in past has set up BHEL, HAL, CCMB and other prestigious public sector institutions in Hyderabad and residential facility for their employees. In Kukatpally, Vengalrao Nagar, Barkatpura and other places housing board colonies were established by us.”
Development projects
He said that the government is spending Rs 10,000 crore for constructing flyovers, underpasses and drainage system. The development will attract real state developers from all over the world. “We are filtering and providing clean drinking water from various rivers like Godavari, Krishna and Manjira, which has eradicated drinking water problems. We had constructed the outer ring road which is one of the best in our country. Other facilities like international airport, multi-specialty hospitals, and renowned educational institutions such as JNTU and IIT have been build by us in Hyderabad. We are thinking of developing them further keeping in mind the requirements of future generation. Moreover, plan for construction 39 sewer treatment plants (STPs) was rolled out by our government,” Bhatti added.
Motivated negative campaign against HYDRAA
Bhatti said that there is a ‘motivated negative campaign’ carried out against Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA). “All the DWCRA women group members who were displaced will be provided interest free loans amounting up to Rs 1,000 crores and they will be provided employment by establishing small-scale units.”
