New Delhi: There’s no denying that some television shows are so iconic they become an unforgettable part of our childhood. With their memorable characters and catchy phrases, they hold a special place in our hearts. One such series was CID. And, guess what? If social media buzz is to be believed, the Indian police procedural drama is making a comeback. No, we are not kidding.

Sony Entertainment Television India took to social media on Thursday (October 25, 2024) to post a special video. In the short clip, Shivaji Satam, possibly reprising his iconic role as ACP Pradyuman, was seen rushing to a location in heavy rain with a police vehicle in the background. The camera then switches to a close-up of someone else’s eyes as the legendary CID theme tune plays, giving viewers goosebumps.

The video was captioned, “An explosive promo will drop on Saturday (October 26, 2024).” As soon as the clip went viral on social media, fans began speculating that CID 2 is set to take television by storm after a six-year hiatus. However, there is no official confirmation about the same yet.
