Noida: In Noida, road accidents caused by speeding are quite common. In a recent incident at Sector-100, a speeding car violently collided with an auto at night. The auto was completely destroyed and the driver suffered serious injuries. The car driver fled the scene without stopping after the accident.
The CCTV footage of the incident shows a white seven-seater car crashing into the auto from behind. The auto has been completely destroyed. The car did not stop after the incident and drove away. After the accident, the auto driver can be seen coming out of the destroyed auto.
Driver suffers severe injuries
Soon after this, the nearby people rushes towards the auto. The auto driver was admitted in hospital by the people. According to reports the driver identified as Sanu, has suffered serious injuries and is still admitted. The police took cognisance of the incident and the search for finding the car driver is still being carried.
Additional DCP Noida, Manish Mishra said, “The police is trying to search the car driver on the basis of car number. The driver will be arrested soon.” The police said that the case will registered in concerned sections once the statement from the auto driver is take.
Noida DM directs authorities to fix 29 accident hotspots
According to reports, the road crashes have been increasing significantly in Noida. In September the city recorded more than 80 crasesh, may of which were fatal. Owing to the increasing cases of road accidents, Noida DM, Manish Verma, on October 23, instructed the authorities to prepare an action plan to fix 29 black spots and illegal cuts identified in the city. DM also asked the transport department to inspect school buses and restrict them from operating if found unfit. He also directed the police to conduct background checks on drivers and take actions against the overloaded vehicles.
