New Delhi: Bengal Warriorz and Jaipur Pink Panthers will play their season opener match against each other at Gachibowl Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on October 20, Sunday. The defending champion skipper Fazel Atrachali transferred to the Bengal side and will partner with Maninder Singh. On the other side star raider Arjun Deshwal will lead Pink Panthers for the first time in his career.
Two-time PKL champion Pink Panthers will look to start their campaign on a solid note. While PKL season seven winner will also aim to start their campaign on a high note. Bengal have an upper hand in a head-to-head contest against the Pink Panthers. Both sides collided 18 times in PKL, in which Bengal won the match 10 times and Pink Panthers won 7 times. One time the contest was stopped in a tie.
The second match of the night will witness the two super coaches going against each other. Ram Mehar Singh will be facing off against one-time PKL champion Randhir Singh. Bengaluru lost their first match against Telugu Titans. Their star raider Pardeep Narwal didn’t find the rhythm in the match. Bengaluru will look to bounce back after the season opener match.
Gujarat will be with their new captain Neeraj Kumar and vice-captain Guman Singh. Ram Mehar backed his side after an average previous PKL edition. Gujarat also has the upper hand on Bengaluru as both teams collided 13 times against each other whereas Gujarat won 7 times.
